"The Emmy * award-winning reality adventure returns with THE AMAZING RACE Season 13. Eleven Teams cover 30,000 miles across five continents in approximately 30 days. The cast showcases diverse couples: long-married beekeepers; a separated couple looking to rebuild their marriage; joke-cracking fraternity brothers described by rival teams as "Team Superbad"; and two comic book aficionados, one of whom "wears geek as a badge of honor." The Race begins in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, they jockey for flights headed to Salvador, Brazil. Stamina and courage are strained during a harrowing detour. Season 13 has Amazing Race firsts: a real-life water world where its inhabitants live on a floating city and places such as Cambodia and Kazakhstan are explored. The teams square off against Bolivian wrestlers and one team's mistake prohibits them from joining their fellow Racers at the finish line. The pressure ratchets, slip-ups like misreading clues to blindly following competitors become a burden. Moral and ethical standards are challenged when one team gets in trouble with the law, while a Racer lies at one of the most religious places on Earth.
